How Cam Sites Verify Performers Are Adults
Every performer on a mainstream cam site has shown government ID before going live. Here is what that check involves, who enforces it, and what you can do if something ever looks wrong.
On this site, petite describes the height and build of adult women. We never use a label that suggests youth.
What a Performer Has to Provide
Chaturbate's help centre sets out its requirements plainly. Everyone who appears on a broadcast must be at least 18 and verified with:
- A valid government-issued photo ID showing legal name, date of birth, ID number and photo. Passports and driving licences are accepted.
- A selfie showing the face, so the ID can be matched to the person.
It rejects expired, temporary, handwritten or altered IDs, as well as birth certificates and military IDs. Anyone else who appears on camera must submit their own ID and sign the broadcaster agreement too. Stripchat also requires ID before a model can broadcast, and it fills some profile categories, such as country and language, from those documents.
Who Makes Them Do It
The card networks
Since October 2021, Mastercard has required sites that sell adult content to verify the age and identity of everyone who appears, to keep their written consent, and to review content. Platforms that want to take card payments have to comply, which is a powerful incentive.
US record-keeping law
Under 18 U.S.C. § 2257, producers of sexually explicit content in the US must keep age and identity records for every performer. That's why adult sites, including ours, publish a 2257 statement.
Age checks for viewers, too
A growing number of US states require age verification before visitors can enter adult sites. Chaturbate, for example, now asks viewers to verify their age before using Cam2Cam. Depending on where you live, you may be asked to confirm your age before entering a platform at all.

What This Does and Doesn't Tell You
| What it verifies | What it doesn't |
|---|---|
| The performer is an adult, matched to real ID | The age shown on a profile; that's what she chooses to display |
| The person on camera is the account holder | Body-type labels such as petite; those are self-described |
| Extra people on camera are verified too | Anything about off-platform accounts that claim to be her |
For viewers, the practical lesson is simple: stay on the platform. Verification protects rooms on the site itself, not a "private" app someone invites you to.
If Something Looks Wrong
- Use the platform's report button on the room or profile. Both platforms review reports.
- Don't record or share anything.
- In the US, you can also report suspected child sexual exploitation to NCMEC's CyberTipline.
- Tell us through our reporting page if it relates to anything on this site.

Questions
Are cam models verified 18+?
On mainstream platforms, yes. ID and a matching selfie are required before broadcasting.
Can a performer lie about her age on her profile?
The profile age is self-entered, but the platform holds her ID showing she's an adult. Treat displayed ages as a guide.
Why does this site say 21+ on images?
Our images are AI-generated and show fictional adults aged 21 or older. They're decorative and never depict a real performer.
