Cheaper Than a Private: Spy, Group and Ticket Shows
A one-on-one private is the priciest way to watch. Both platforms have shared formats that cost less, each with its own trade-offs.
The Formats at a Glance
| Format | Where | How you pay | Can you chat? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spy on a private | Both | Per minute, usually less than the private rate | No; spies cannot see the private chat on Chaturbate |
| Group show | Stripchat | Per minute, each viewer pays while they stay | Participants can write in the group chat |
| Ticket show | Both | One fixed price for the whole show | Depends on the performer |
| Password show | Chaturbate | A tip agreed in advance | Yes |
Spying
On Chaturbate, the Private Shows tab lists broadcasters who are in a private right now. On a profile, "Spy On This Private Show" lets you watch for a per-minute charge. Some performers require a minimum token balance first, and spies see the stream but not the chat. On Stripchat, others may spy on a regular private if the performer allows it. Neither Chaturbate's Premium privates nor Stripchat's Exclusive Privates can be spied on.
Stripchat Group Shows
A group show is a shared private. When one is announced you will see it beside the Send Tip button, and reserving a slot is free; charges start only when the show begins. You can join or leave at any time. Stripchat says group prices are generally lower than regular privates because several people contribute.
Ticket Shows
On Stripchat, a ticket costs between 8 and 1,000 tokens depending on the performer and covers the entire show. On Chaturbate, performers run hidden or ticket shows through apps, and you buy a ticket by tipping the set number of tokens. Either way, the cost does not climb with every minute.
Password Shows
A Chaturbate performer can lock her room with a password, which hides it from the site until she removes it. Chaturbate's guidance is that any agreed amount should be tipped before the show, because nothing is deducted automatically.
