Cam2Cam: What It Costs and How to Stay Safe
Cam2Cam lets the performer see you while you watch her. It's one of the most searched cam features, and the one where a little preparation protects you most.
Only the performer you share with can see your camera. Everyone involved must be an adult, and the platforms now ask viewers to verify their age before sharing a camera.
How Cam2Cam Works
On Chaturbate
Chaturbate's help centre (updated August 4, 2026) describes Cam to Cam like this: you share your camera, video only and no audio, with the creator. She gets a notice in her chat and must accept before she can see you. While she's watching, an orange eye icon appears on your screen. Only she can see your camera, not other viewers.
On desktop, click "Cam to Cam" under the video. On mobile, open the menu to the left of the chat bar and choose it from the show options. Your browser will ask for camera permission the first time.
Because of age verification laws, Chaturbate asks you to complete a quick age check before you can use the feature.
On Stripchat
Stripchat offers Cam2Cam inside private shows. Your camera stays off until you switch it on from the private-show window, and you can turn it off again without ending the show. Exclusive Privates can't be spied on, which matters more when your camera is on.
What Cam2Cam Costs
Chaturbate's help article doesn't list a separate Cam2Cam fee, but performers set their own private rates and tip menus, and some ask for a tip to accept. Check the room menu first. Stripchat private rates run from 8 to 150 tokens a minute, set by the performer.

Privacy Checklist Before You Turn the Camera On
- Frame it. Decide what's in shot. Many viewers keep their face out of frame entirely.
- Clear the background. Mail, photos, diplomas, a work badge or a view from the window can identify you.
- Check reflections. Mirrors, glass and dark screens show more than you think.
- Use a separate browser profile for adult sites, so camera permissions don't carry over.
- Assume it could be captured. No site can stop someone recording their own screen. Share only what you'd be comfortable with if it were saved.
- Know the off switch. Find the stop button before you start, not during.
Red Flags
- Anyone asking you to move to another app or video service. You lose the platform's protections.
- Requests for your name, workplace or social media.
- Threats or demands for money after a show. Stop, don't pay, save the messages, and report it to the platform.
