How Does Cam to Cam Work on Chaturbate?
Chaturbate now gives you two ways to let a performer see you. Cam To Cam is a one-way picture with no sound. Two-Way Video Call is a paid show with video and voice in both directions. Here is how each works, step by step.
Everything here is about adults. Chaturbate requires performers to be verified adults, and it now asks viewers to verify their age before sharing a camera.
Cam To Cam, Step by Step
- Sign in. Chaturbate's interface tells guests "You must be logged in to share your cam", and its own wording also says cam sharing is only available to users who have purchased tokens.
- Pass the age check. The help centre says age verification laws mean you must complete a short verification before using Cam to Cam.
- Start it. On a computer, click "Cam to Cam" below the performer's video. On a phone, tap the expand icon to the left of the chat bar and pick Cam to Cam under Customize Show. Allow camera access when your browser asks.
- Wait for her to accept. She sees a notice in her chat and has to approve it. While she's watching you, an orange eye icon shows on your screen. Nobody else in the room can see your camera.
What Cam To Cam Doesn't Do
- No sound. Chaturbate states plainly that Cam To Cam doesn't carry audio, so the performer can't hear you. Keep typing in chat.
- It stops easily. Turning your camera off or leaving the room ends it, and heading to checkout to buy tokens ends the session too. Top up before you start.
- Not during her private. If the performer is already in a private show, you can't share your cam with her.
Two-Way Video Call: The Newer Option
Chaturbate's interface describes Two-Way Video Calls as real-time video and audio in both directions between one viewer and the performer, with no spying allowed. It works more like a private show than like Cam To Cam:
- The performer sets a tokens-per-minute price and a minimum number of minutes for it.
- You send a request, and she can accept or decline it.
- You need enough tokens before it can start.
- Leaving the room cancels a pending request, and you can't request one while she's in a private.
- Only performers broadcasting from Chaturbate's in-browser tool can offer it for now. The site says OBS support is coming.
Side by Side
| Cam To Cam | Two-Way Video Call | |
|---|---|---|
| What she gets | Your video, no sound | Your video and your voice |
| Her approval | She has to accept | She can accept or decline |
| Who else sees it | Only her | Nobody: no spying allowed |
| Price | No separate fee in the help article | Her per-minute rate, with a minimum |
A regular private show is different again: you pay her per-minute rate, other viewers may pay to spy unless she's running a Premium private, which blocks spying.
What It Costs
The help article on Cam To Cam doesn't list a charge for the feature itself, but performers decide how they run their rooms and some ask for a tip first. Check the tip menu or ask politely. For paid one-on-one time, Chaturbate's own listings group private shows into bands of 6, 12 to 18, 30 to 42, 60 to 72, and 90 or more tokens a minute. When you click to start a private, a window shows the rate, the minimum minutes and whether a recording is included before anything is charged. Our prices page turns tokens into dollars.
Before You Switch Your Camera On
Only the performer sees you, but she can still remember what's in the frame. Our cam2cam cost and safety guide has a short privacy checklist covering framing, backgrounds and reflections, plus how Stripchat handles the same feature.
Questions
Can other viewers see me on Chaturbate cam to cam?
No. According to Chaturbate's help centre, only the creator you share with can see your camera.
Can the performer hear me?
Not on Cam To Cam, which is video only. A Two-Way Video Call adds sound in both directions.
Why is Chaturbate asking me to verify my age?
Chaturbate says age verification law requirements apply to this feature, so it checks before you can share a camera.
